My name is Tyrone. I grew up in the streets of Baltimore, surrounded by violence, addiction, and brokenness. By age 14, I was selling drugs, chasing money, scams, and temporary pleasures—never realizing how empty it all was. I lost close friends to gun violence, including my childhood friend Jhosy, and found out years later that my father died from a fentanyl overdose—the same drug I once sold. That truth hit me hard. I used to be numb to death, but now I see life differently. Through pain, loss, and reflection—primarily through Scripture like James 1:14-15—I've woken up to the reality of eternity. My story isn't finished, but I now live with purpose, knowing that forever is real—and that how we live now echoes in eternity.
My What
I'm wholly devoted to Christ, serving at Hope City in kids ministry, the worship team, discipling youth, and developing a youth sports program. I also teach at Hope City Christian Academy, a school dedicated to reaching and discipling children in similar situations to my upbringing. Baltimore schools often fail to teach life's fundamentals, but as an alum of Hope City Academy, I know firsthand how life-changing this environment is. My heart is for the youth—they are the revival generation. Three years ago, I never imagined following Jesus, let alone working alongside him to change the city I once was a statistic of. But God had a plan all along, and He's calling others back to Him
My Why
I've experienced the brokenness this world brings—and I know many in Baltimore are facing the same, if not worse. My heart burns for my city to encounter the radical love of Jesus. When people look at Baltimore, they see violence and addiction, but they miss the light of Christ shining through the darkness. What God has done in my life is proof of what He can do in this city. I've committed my life to serve Jesus and carry out His work, starting right here in Baltimore, and I need your help! I need men and women willing to support me through prayer and financial support. Will you partner with me?
